musician & songwriter
I’ve been singing for over ten years now & I’m still completely in love with the sound & storytelling of it - how simply playing notes side by side & stringing words together can make us feel anything. After studying Jazz at Leeds Conservatoire, I managed to find myself in lot’s of different musical projects & arty jobs - doing things like curating arts & sound exhibitions, running songwriting courses, making radio & other stuff.
Currently, some musical projects I’m part of are: Ilk (with Jacob Harrison), Agnes & Eve (with Eve Creighton), Playing The Poem (with Peter Spafford) & Schwa (with Peter Spafford & Richard Ormrod). Other than on stage, I spend most of my time as Head of Radio at Chapel FM Arts Centre in East Leeds & in any remaining hours of the day, I am also a singing teacher.

Chapel FM Arts Centre Leeds
Other than playing lot of music, I also work for a wonderful arts centre in East Leeds called Chapel FM Arts Centre. Chapel FM is a house of creativity, art, music, writing all through radio & podcasts.
My job is to look after the radio side of things - manage the station, develop & support all of our shows and facilitate music & radio sessions. I work a lot with young people, asylum seekers & other local community groups! If you want to chat radio & podcasts email agnes@chapelfm.co.uk
